I would like to introduce you guys to a different part of the world: Korea. I have a close bond with Korea because this is where my first loves and best friends come from. I came across this exhibitions that stood in the Saatchi Gallery during the summer, which is sponsored by Phillips de Pury & Company (this is a gallery/auction house that hosts great artists). They brought out a great catalog named Korean Eye: The Moon Generations that gives you a good insight in the work that was displayed. I have posted several Korean artist such as Yi Hwan Kwon and Hyung Koo Lee but there are many more to be see such as Dae Hyung Lee and Jung Hwa Ha.

The quercky artist Yi Hwan Kwon makes sculptures that have literally been taken out of proportion to create a distorted look. I myself have seen them, the eye sees it but the brain never seems to understand it: It's crazy!

Hyungkoo Lee has been creating comical and playful yet realistic constructions of skeletons reminiscent of past cartoons characters.
